Strawberry Cold Chain and Storage Operations
SFPCL is establishing a cold storage facility for strawberries to enable year-round availability of the produce. The facility will employ blast freezing at minus 40°C, followed by storage at plus 20°C, ensuring maintenance of quality and freshness.
This infrastructure will allow SFPCL to supply strawberries as raw material to ice cream manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies, overcoming the limitations of seasonal availability. By providing consistent, high-quality produce throughout the year, the facility is expected to enhance value realization for farmers and support diversification into processed and industrial markets.
