Integrated Grape and Tomato Pack House Operations at Chandikapur
Under the National Horticulture Mission, SFPCL established pack houses and a Farmer Facility Center at the Chandikapur (Vani) clusters for grading, sorting, and post-harvest handling of grapes and tomatoes. These facilities have enhanced price realization for member farmers and supported training and capacity building in cultivation and post-harvest management.
The establishment of pack houses has enabled SFPCL to add value to agricultural produce by implementing standardized grading and sorting practices. This infrastructure investment has facilitated enhanced price realization for premium quality produce and created avenues for potential export markets. The Farmer Facility Center also provides training and support services to member farmers, improving their cultivation practices and post-harvest management capabilities.
